Analytics & privacy
1) What do we measure (and why)?
Among other things, we measure:
Visits and page views (which pages are viewed)
Use of filters and search (what helps visitors most)
Clicks through to rental companies (e.g. website/phone/message)
Quote requests (conversion: from visit to request)
Technical performance (loading time, errors, device/browser)
2) What data may be processed?
Depending on the situation, analytics tools may process (a limited amount of) data such as:
IP address (preferably anonymised or shortened where possible)
device and browser information
page URLs and click behaviour
time and length of visit
source (e.g. via Google/advert/UTM)
We do not collect payment details via analytics, and we do not use analytics to profile sensitive personal data.
3) Cookies and consent
For analytics we (usually) use cookies or similar technologies.
Functional cookies: necessary for the site to work (no consent required).
Analytical cookies: measure usage and help us improve the site.
Marketing cookies: measure advertising performance and retargeting (only with your consent).
You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings (where these are available on the site).
4) Rental companies: measuring at listing and lead level
For rental companies, we can show statistics such as:
views of your listing
clicks on website/phone/message
quote requests (leads)
(where applicable) conversion rates
These statistics are intended to help you improve your listing and give you a better insight into its performance.
5) Sharing data with third parties
Some analytics and marketing tools are provided by external parties. Where necessary, we enter into data processing agreements, and we only share data that is needed for:
website analysis
error diagnosis
campaign measurement
We do not sell personal data.
6) Retention periods
We do not keep analytics data for longer than necessary. Retention periods depend on:
legal obligations
purposes (analysis, security, reporting)
the settings of the tools used
Where possible, we use shortened or aggregated data so that it is harder to trace back to individuals.
7) Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
access your data
have your data corrected or deleted (where possible)
object to processing
restrict processing
