There is currently no BMW 5 Series on the site. That is a shame if you are looking for comfort without the frills. Since the 1970s, the 5 Series has been BMW's large executive saloon, the kind of car in which you can cover long distances in a relaxed way. That is exactly what makes it appealing on a wedding day: calm, quiet and with a back seat that gives the bride plenty of room for her dress.
A four-door saloon is practical. The bride can step into the back without having to climb, the partner can do the same on the other side, and the boot has room for spare clothes or a bag with a few things for later in the day. Modern versions have air conditioning, which is no unnecessary luxury on a warm summer day. The look is understated; with a ribbon and a few flowers it quickly becomes a smart wedding car, without the car drawing all the attention.
If you are looking for a powerful, modern German car, take a look at the Audi RS6: fast, spacious and with a dark, sleek look. A classic alternative from the same segment is the Mercedes-Benz W123, the large Mercedes from the 1970s and 1980s, with plenty of space and a friendly, rounded shape.
If you would like more choice in comfort and style, have a look at the luxury wedding cars. There you will find modern saloons and classic British cars side by side. The selection changes, so a 5 Series may still appear here at a later date.
