Why couples look for a Tesla Model S
No rental company currently offers a Tesla Model S through our site. The Model S came onto the market in 2012 and was one of the first electric cars to be seen as a true luxury saloon. It has a streamlined shape with a hatchback, five seats and a sleek interior with a large screen in the centre.
As a wedding car, the Model S appeals mainly to couples who want a modern, understated look. It runs silently, which makes for a calm journey where you can chat together for a moment before the ceremony. For a wedding with a clean, minimalist style or at a modern venue, a car like this suits better than a classic car with lots of chrome.
Modern wedding cars you can hire
If you are looking for a fast, comfortable car with a modern look, take a look at the Audi RS6. It has the same space for five people and a powerful, sleek appearance, although it is not an electric car. You will find more modern options with comfort, air conditioning and a well-kept interior among the luxury wedding cars.
If you would like something a little more exciting, the sporty wedding cars are an option, from modern Porsches to American muscle cars.
One advantage of modern cars on your wedding day is reliability: the chance of a breakdown is small and the car stays cool on a warm day. Talk to the rental company about how early the car can be with you and whether it comes with decorations.
Frequently asked questions
Does a modern car suit a classic wedding?
It can, as long as the overall look works together. A dark, sleek car next to a classic church or castle makes a lovely contrast. If you want a fully nostalgic look, a classic car is a better fit. Consider the style of your clothing, flowers and venue, and choose the car that matches them best.
Can we decorate a modern wedding car without damaging the paintwork?
Yes, with ribbons that are fastened under the bonnet or to the mirrors, and flower arrangements with a soft, rubber base. Do not use tape on the paintwork. Ask the rental company which decorations are allowed: many rental companies bring their own ribbon or small flower arrangement.
Is a quiet electric car a good choice for your wedding day?
For the journey itself, yes: no engine noise, no vibrations and no exhaust fumes as you get in and out. You can simply chat during the drive or take a moment to relax. On arrival, nobody will hear the car coming, so ask someone to let the guests know, so that no one misses the moment.
How do we choose between a classic car and a modern wedding car?
A classic car brings atmosphere and nostalgia, but it often has no air conditioning and is more prone to breakdowns. A modern car is comfortable, cool and reliable, but less romantic. Think about the season, the distance and the style of your wedding. Long journeys in summer favour a modern car, while a short drive to the town hall suits a classic.
