A Rambler Ambassador is already rare in the Netherlands, and there is currently none on our site. Rambler was a brand of American Motors, the company formed in the mid-1950s from the merger of Nash and Hudson. The Ambassador was the largest and most luxurious model in the range. It is far rarer in the Netherlands than a Cadillac or Buick, and that is exactly what makes it appealing to some couples.
As a wedding car, the Ambassador has everything that makes an American classic from that era so suitable: a long body, four doors, a wide back seat and the typical details of the 1950s and 1960s. The bride can get in easily, and there is room for the dress. In photos, a car like this gives a warm, nostalgic look without becoming a cliché.
If you are looking for the shapes of the 1950s, the Buick Roadmaster is a large, stately alternative with plenty of chrome at the front. The Ford Fairlane is a second option from the same period, with the typical lines and colours of those years.
All other classic and modern cars from the United States can be found under American wedding cars. With these large cars, it is wise to check beforehand where the car can stop at your ceremony and reception, because turning around is not always possible in a narrow street. A square, a driveway or a car park close to the entrance often works best.
