If you are looking for a Lincoln Continental, you will not find one on our site right now. Lincoln is the luxury division of Ford, and the Continental is one of the brand's best-known models. The most famous version dates from the 1960s: a long, sleek saloon with plenty of chrome and rear-hinged back doors. This means the front and rear doors open towards each other, giving a wide, welcoming way in. There was also a four-door convertible, a rare type of car.
For a wedding, that is a real advantage. The bride can step in comfortably in her dress and train, and the length of the car makes an entrance your guests will notice. In the back you sit as on a sofa, with room for the bride and groom side by side.
If you want the same atmosphere, take a look at the Buick Electra 225, a large American saloon from the same period with a similar, stately look. For a little more 1950s flair, the Ford Fairlane is a lovely alternative, with the typical shapes and colours of that era.
You can find all the large cars from the United States under American wedding cars. With these classics, keep the size in mind: in a narrow town centre or at a small car park by the venue, turning can sometimes be tricky. Please include the address of the ceremony and the party in your request, so the rental company can assess the route.
