There is currently no Buick Skylark on the site. Buick used the Skylark name for decades. It began in the 1950s as an exclusive convertible with plenty of chrome, and later coupés and sedans carried the name too. Whichever Skylark you have in mind, it is a piece of American motoring history that suits a wedding with a vintage or rock 'n' roll theme.
What makes an American classic from that era so well suited is the space. Wide bench seats, large doors and a long body mean a wedding dress with plenty of volume fits comfortably. The downside is that such a car is long and wide, so in a narrow town centre or on a tight driveway it can be a tight squeeze. Agree a drop-off spot with the rental company where the car can stop easily.
Within the same brand there are good alternatives. The Buick Roadmaster dates from the 1950s and has the rounded shapes and chrome of that time. The Buick Electra 225 is a large Buick from the 1960s, with a longer, sleeker line.
If an open-top American car is what matters most to you, take a look at the Ford Mustang, which is also available as a convertible. And if you would like to see all the options side by side, have a look at the American wedding cars. The selection changes, so a Skylark may still appear here later.
