Triumph is a British brand best known for its small, open sports cars. The Spitfire, built from the early sixties until 1980, is a compact two-seater with a fabric roof and a playful look. The TR range, with models such as the TR4 and TR6, is slightly larger and more rugged. Triumph also built saloons and a small convertible, the Herald.
A Triumph as a wedding car suits a couple who want something open, compact and a little bit sporty. Think of a summer wedding in the countryside, a drive along the river or a photo shoot among the dunes. There is room for two people and little space for a full dress, so a slim-fitting style or a dress with a detachable train works best. As with any classic car, there is no air conditioning and the pace is relaxed, so plan a route without long stretches of motorway.
A Triumph in British racing green, red or white looks its best on a country lane, beside a river or in front of an old country house. Keep the decoration small, so the ribbon does not flutter about when you drive with the roof down. A few flowers on the boot lid stay in place better than a large arrangement on the bonnet.
