A Lamborghini at your wedding: what you need to know
Lamborghini comes from Sant'Agata Bolognese in northern Italy. Ferruccio Lamborghini, originally a tractor manufacturer, started building sports cars in the 1960s, and since the late 1990s the brand has belonged to Audi. Its trademarks are sharp, angular lines and an extremely low build. The big V12 models are known for their upward-hinging doors; the Gallardo, the best-known smaller model, has conventional doors.
A Lamborghini as a wedding car makes a statement. Everyone hears it coming and it draws every camera. In practical terms, it is a two-seater with a very low entry and little room for a dress with a lot of fabric. The bride is best off sitting down first and then swinging her legs in, with someone guiding the train. Keep an eye on the route too: speed bumps, steep driveways and gravel paths are awkward for a car that sits so close to the ground.
A Lamborghini stands out in almost any colour, but the bright shades the brand is known for, such as yellow, orange and green, give the strongest effect in photos. If you prefer something more understated, choose white or black and keep the decoration minimal: a supercar needs very little extra.
