There is currently no Fiat Spider on the site. By the Spider, people usually mean the Fiat 124 Spider, a small open sports car that Fiat built from the mid-1960s into the 1980s, with a design by Pininfarina. It has sleek, elegant lines and a fabric roof that goes up and down quickly. The name later returned on a modern roadster, built together with Mazda.
As a wedding car, the classic Spider is a charming choice. It has two proper seats at the front and a small bench seat at the back, which is mainly handy for a bag or the bouquet. With the roof down, you are clearly visible and the car looks lovely in photos in a garden, at a farmhouse or along the water. For a full dress it is a tight fit: the car is low and the doors are narrow. Also expect classic technology, with no air conditioning and a roof you will want to close in good time if it rains.
The Alfa Romeo Spider is the most obvious alternative: also an Italian open two-seater from the 1960s, with a similar feel. If you would rather stay with Fiat, go for the Fiat 500, smaller and more playful.
If you are looking for an elegant German convertible from the same era, the Mercedes-Benz W113 is a strong choice. And you can find all open cars together under convertibles. If a Fiat Spider is added later, you will find it here.
