At the moment no rental company has a Chrysler Windsor on the site. From the late 1930s to the early 1960s, the Windsor was one of Chrysler's large models. The versions from the 1940s and 1950s are the best known: wide, heavy sedans with an imposing grille, plenty of chrome and roomy bench seats. A Windsor is less well known than a Cadillac or a Buick, which is exactly what makes it interesting for enthusiasts.
As a wedding car, a Windsor offers everything you would expect from a big American. There is plenty of room in the back, the doors are large and the car drives calmly and smoothly. That is pleasant if you want a moment to unwind after the ceremony on the way. Do expect classic technology, though: without air conditioning a hot day needs some thought, and the car needs space to turn around. Plan a route along wide roads and agree on a good place to get out.
The Buick Roadmaster is a strong alternative: also a large American sedan from the 1950s, with rounded shapes and lots of chrome. If you would rather have a car from the late 1950s, with the lines of the rock 'n' roll era, take a look at the Ford Fairlane.
To see all the options, have a look at the American wedding cars. You will also find more modern cars there, from muscle cars to pick-ups. If a Windsor is added later, it will appear on this page.
