What does wedding car hire cost, in brief?

For a wedding car with chauffeur you usually pay a few hundred euros per half day. According to the guide prices from Trouwen.nl, a half day of 4 hours with chauffeur costs between €350 and €950. A full day costs €600 to €1.500. The difference mostly comes down to the car, the number of hours and what is included in the price.

The amounts come from sources we looked at on 17 October 2026. Where a source mentions a year, we say so. For 2027 they are a good starting point. Prices from rental companies and comparison sites are examples, not an average of the whole market. So always request a quote for your own date.

Price per half day and per full day

Most rental companies charge for a half day of about 4 hours, or for a full day. This is how the guide prices vary:

Another benchmark: according to ThePerfectWedding, the average Dutch couple spent €356 on a wedding car for 4 hours, excluding mileage. That figure comes from an article from April 2024.

Wedding car hire per hour: sliding scale and extra hours

Many rental companies use a sliding scale: the longer you hire, the lower the price per hour. Trouwen.nl mentions a commonly used scale of around €295 for 2 hours, €395 for 4 hours and €495 for 6 hours.

Would you rather pay by the hour? In 2025, Photobooths-huren.nl arrived at €50 to €100 per hour for a wedding car with chauffeur. According to Trouwen.nl, an extra hour usually costs €50 to €75, and from €35 at some rental companies.

Prices by type of car

The type of car makes a big difference. Below you will find a guide price or an example for each type, with the source.

Classic car

According to Trouwen.nl, a classic car costs €300 to €600 per half day. The chauffeur and a red carpet are often included. Two examples from rental companies on Jouwtrouwauto.nl: a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III from €395 per half day and a 1964 Ford Mustang Convertible from €295 per half day.

Luxury car

For a luxury wedding car from a make such as Rolls-Royce or Bentley, Trouwen.nl mentions €500 to €1.200 per half day.

Sports car

For a sporty wedding car, Photobooths-huren.nl (2025) gives an example: a Ferrari or Lamborghini can cost €800 or more. The source does not say what hire period that amount applies to.

Wedding bus for the guests

With a wedding bus you transport the guests. Here too, prices vary widely:

• A Volkswagen bus from €299 per day, an example from Jouwtrouwauto.nl.
• An English double-decker from €585 for 4 hours, with 50 to 68 seats, at Trouwautosverhuur.nl. An extra hour costs €95 there. The chauffeur and free mileage are included in the price.
• According to Trouwen.nl, a coach for 57 people costs about €375, with chauffeur, insurance and fuel. It does not say for how many hours that applies.

Limousine

According to Limousine.nl, a limousine costs on average €400 to €800 for a few hours and €900 to €1.800 for a whole wedding day. The minimum hire is usually 2 or 3 hours. Photobooths-huren.nl gave an example in 2025: about €500 for 4 hours. According to that source, you can hire the cheapest limousine from €180 for the first 2 hours, then €75 per extra hour.

Wedding car with chauffeur: price and the extra cost of the chauffeur

When looking at the price of a wedding car with chauffeur, the first question is whether the chauffeur is already included. With many wedding cars he is. According to Trouwautowinkel, he is often part of the standard package, and according to Trouwen.nl this is often the case with a classic car too. Other rental companies charge for the chauffeur separately.

On our own platform we see both. On 17 October 2026 we counted 10 cars in our range that can only be hired with a chauffeur and state a price per half day. Those prices ranged from €295 to €445. Half of them were at €410 or lower.

In addition, 25 cars stated a separate price for the chauffeur. That extra charge was between €45 and €275, and for half of those cars it was €58 or less. An example from one rental company: Bultman Verhuur in Apeldoorn charges €120 for the chauffeur for the first four hours and €35 for each extra hour.

According to Photobooths-huren.nl, self-drive is usually a little cheaper. In 2025 that source mentioned €350 to €500 for a wedding car you drive yourself, sometimes for a few hours and sometimes for the whole day. What determines the cost of a wedding car?

Four things largely determine what you pay.

• Hours. A half day is the basis. Every extra hour costs money.
• Kilometres. A fixed number of kilometres is often included in the price. According to Trouwen.nl, rental companies charge separately for kilometres outside that fixed radius. Trouwautowinkel mentions €0,30 to €0,50 per extra kilometre. According to Limousine.nl, limousines usually include 25 to 50 km in the price. It can also be more expensive: a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback on Jouwtrouwauto.nl costs €749 per day and night, with 150 free kilometres and then €1,50 per kilometre.
• Travel time to you. According to Photobooths-huren.nl, the clock usually starts when the chauffeur leaves the rental company, not on arrival. So you also pay for the drive to you. A rental company close to your home or the wedding venue therefore saves money.
• Day and season. According to Limousine.nl, limousine prices are often higher at weekends and from May to September. They do not mention a percentage. According to Trouwen.nl, in those months the most beautiful cars are also booked up half a year to a year ahead.

Extra costs: deposit and decoration

The hire price is not always the full amount. According to Trouwen.nl, decoration is included in the price at some rental companies, while at others it is an option. And if you drive yourself, you pay a deposit. How high that is differs per rental company.

If you drive yourself, also ask how you are insured and how high the excess is.

How to compare quotes like for like

Quotes can only be compared when they cover the same thing. Put the same date, start time and end time, and the same addresses in every request. Then ask each quote the following:

• How many hours are included, and when does the clock start?
• Is the chauffeur included, or is that an extra charge?
• How many kilometres are free, and what does an extra kilometre cost?
• What does an extra hour cost?
• Is decoration included?
• Is there a deposit, and how much is it?

Put the answers side by side and work everything out to one total. A low price without a chauffeur or kilometres can then turn out more expensive than a higher price that includes everything.
